Helium for one show
About 170 cubic feet for a blimp, roughly $255 from a local welding-gas supplier at typical rates.
Buy it in the show city rather than shipping gas. Every convention city has industrial gas suppliers, and many are used to exhibitors.
If you haul yours inflated between shows, that fill lasts across several events.
Against the rest of the booth budget
Set $1,512 against what you already spend on a show: space, drayage, carpet, electrical, shipping, staff travel and hotels.
Against that total it is a small line, and unlike almost every other line it is not consumed. It comes to the next show, and the one after that, for years.
What ceiling do I need?
15 feet clear for a 13-foot blimp.
Will one fill last three days?
Yes, comfortably. Loss is about 1% per day.
Are helium balloons always allowed?
No. Ask the venue specifically, before move-in.
How do I anchor it?
A sandbag or a booth tie-off. Net lift is about three pounds.
Can I reuse it?
Yes. Deflate and box it, or haul it inflated in a trailer.
